Avery S review
Name of book:The Thing About Jellyfish Author:Ali Benjamin Number of Stars:☆☆☆☆☆ (5)Review:I just finished this book earlier this morning and I will tell you one thing: This is one of the very few books I have read in 24 hours. There is something about how the author tells the story that makes it so meaningful. The plot of the story is about a 12-year-old girl named Suzy entering seventh grade. A little while before that though, she was told her best friend had drowned at a beach in Maryland. This makes her enter a state where she does not talk or interact with anyone in any way. Soon into the book, she develops a theory that a jellyfish stung her best friend, and begins a quest to discover the truth. The story is told in the first-person point of view, so the author gives an amazing amount of details, including everything Suzy thinks, sees, hears, and observes about the crazy world around her. This really develops Suzy’s character and is truly an amazing way to tell this story. The Thing About Jellyfish tells a moving story about friendship, teaching, lessons, theories, science, mean girls, middle school, and so much more. It has become one of my all-time favorite books instantaneously, and I definitely recommend it. WARNING: IF YOU DO NOT LIKE SAD BOOKS DO NOT READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
